Technical Rider

Stage:

The stage is to have a minimum playing space of 38 feet wide and 35 feet deep.

A cross space is to be maintained between the theater back wall and the set if no other cross over is provided.

Floor:

The floor is to be swept and mopped prior to the arrival of the set. A marley type dance floor (to be provided by the company) will be taped to the stage. The company dance floor is approximately 40 feet by 32 feet.

Masking:

Black legs and borders are to be provided by the theater as to mask the stage.

Drapery:

The theater will provide a grand drape capable of traveling vertically.

Fly System:

The fly system is to be able to support scenery up to 300 pounds, 58 feet in width, and travel vertically to a trim of no less than 48 feet above the deck. The fly system is to provide battens at approximately the following stage measurement (measured from the Plaster Line).

Lighting System:

The lighting system will be prepared and ready for focus upon arrival of the company's Technical Director.

The theater will provide the following:

  • A computer controlled lighting board and operator.
  • Dimmers with adequate power distribution.
  • Lighting fixtures, including 4 each on stage lighting trees.
  • Minimum of three electrics at approximately 7', 18', and 24', with the capabilities of at least 10 specials.
  • Circuiting to all fixtures used in production.

In order to accommodate individual control of the following:

  • General Stage Wash.
  • Front Light — Adequate to cover entire stage separated by upstage and downstage area.
  • Back Light — Adequate to cover entire stage separated by upstage and downstage areas.
  • Up Stage Diagonal Wash. Sides-Four (4) lighting trees each side including Shin's, Waist's, Mid's, and Head's Cyclorama capable of three colors.

The theater will make available a complete technical package to the company Technical Director. The company will in turn provide to the Theater the instrument schedule, hang plot and line set in adequate time for the theater to prepare for the company's arrival.
