Soirée: Annual Gala Fundraiser

25th Anniversary Celebration

Our 25th Season opens with a gala evening honoring our distinguished patron, Sara Miller McCune. Please join us on Sunday, September 22, for this special event — the first in our Silver Anniversary series.

Our annual fundraising event has become one of the most entertaining and elegant in town, featuring cocktails in the garden, dance vignettes by our talented dancers, and spirited live auction. With the goal of having fun while raising funds for our unique and innovative performances, tours, and outreach programs, your presence ensures the longevity and success of the performing arts in Santa Barbara. We hope to see you at this popular, annual event!

The grand opening of our 25th Anniversary Season! In a joyous collaboration with the Santa Barbara Choral Society, the works of some of America's best composers come to life onstage through the power of dance, music, and voice. Featuring Leonard Bernstein's Chichester Psalms, Aaron Copland's Appalachian Spring, and Morten Lauridsen's iconic Lux Aeterna.  Choreography by William Soleau, conducted by Jo Anne Wasserman.

State Street Ballet brings this annual holiday favorite to the grandeur of The Granada Theatre. Featuring the Opera San Luis Obispo Grand Orchestra, and the talented students of Gustafson Dance alongside our professional dancers, this is the perfect way to celebrate the magic of the holiday season. Through virtuosic dancing, opulent sets and costumes, and brilliant comedic moments, the beloved story of Clara and her Nutcracker Prince always delights audiences of all ages. Three performances only!

Sleeping Beauty

A modern take on a favorite fairytale, Sleeping Beauty is the newest story ballet in our Family Series. Performed to Tchaikovsky's celebrated score, this is a full-length world premiere, combining classical elements with updated choreography and motifs. Appropriate for audiences of all ages, this joyful production features intricately designed sets, visionary costumes, and virtuosic dancing that has become symbolic of the classical ballet repertoire. An evening to be enjoyed by all!
