State Street Ballet: Training

State Street Ballet’s first annual Spring Workshop is for dedicated dancers, ages 16 – 25. Focused on classical and contemporary technique, this premiere program will give attendees an opportunity to learn State Street Ballet repertoire and to perform for local directors and choreographers. Faculty includes State Street Ballet company members Cecily Stewart and Anna Carnes, Associate Director Leila Drake, and former member of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater Christina Sanchez. This week-long intensive is perfect for dancers wanting to refine their technique and explore new styles of choreography.
This workshop can also serve as an audition for State Street Ballet, or our year-round Professional Track Trainee Program.

The workshop will conclude with an informal showing for local directors and choreographers on Saturday, March 31.
The workshop will take place at our state-of-the-art home studio at The Gail Towbes Center for Dance in Santa Barbara, CA.
